This is where it all began in 1992. Transmark Company’s first deal was a build to suit for Blockbuster Video in front of Wal-Mart. The site was acquired from JB’s Restaurant. Transmark Company negotiated an amendment to the Covenants Conditions and Restrictions with Wal-Mart to increase in the buildable area from 5,200 square feet to 6,500 square feet. Transmark negotiated a lease with Blockbuster Video, processed engineering plans, architectural plans, bid the project, raised equity and debt and constructed the project. Upon completion Transmark Company sold the property to a 1031 tax deferred exchange buyer. What an education!
